Bully Prevention and Intervention Program

Facilitator: Yocheved Gouhari, MSW

More often than not, students form cliques and children become victims of bullying, teasing, and become ostracized by their own classmates. In order for a school to feel safe to children, an environment needs to be created that understands the role of the bully as well as the victim and empowers bystanders to stand up for what is right. The Bullying Prevention program, modeled after B.R.A.V.E – Belief in the Rights And Values of Everyone, provides students with classroom interventions and practical curriculum (assignments, interactive games and activities) making the materials tangible for student understanding. The program integrates preventative skills into a comfortable classroom setting, that enable students to intervene in bullying situations, and protect themselves when confronted.
