Positive Parenting: The Early Years (Ages 2-9)
Facilitator: Yossi Benperlas, M.A.
This workshop offers a practical, positive, relationship-building approach to parenting. It is intended for parents with children ages two to nine, is based on The Incredible Years Parenting* program. So say goodbye to long lectures on “how to become the ideal parent” and join the class that will provide the tools and guidance needed to address the issues parents struggle with at home.
Previous participants have described the workshop as “a wonderful balance of class materials, discussion, video examples, and personalized attention and participation.”
The Incredible Years programs have been selected by U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention as an "exemplary" best practice program and as a "Blueprints" program. The program was selected as a "Model" program by the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP).

Positive Parenting: The Teen Years (Ages 10-18)
Facilitator: Bassya Pinson, PsyD
These highly interactive groups, offered over the course of six weeks two times a year, give parents a chance to learn new parenting skills and practice them both in the group setting through role play as well as opportunities to implement them at home. Participants in the workshop report feeling a better sense of control and therefore, more self confidence in their parenting skills. As parents are learning new ways to communicate with their children, they are reporting a boost in their own self-esteem and other relationships in their lives as well.

Step-Parenting
Facilitator: Bassya Pinson, PsyD
Understanding the unique challenges that families face when they are comprised of step-parents and step-siblings, the focus of this group is to shed light on what works and does not work when navigating these new relationships. Parenting groups for step-parents are small and focused, offering experiential, hands-on learning. Focus is placed on the ABC’s of relationships and transitions, including grief and loss, co-parenting issues, and effective negotiations within the family. These groups offer support and validation for those who attend. Participants come to realize that they are not alone and that many step families are faced with the same challenges that they are experiencing....and they have the benefit of learning how to deal with Test Page

Café Mom provides a communal atmosphere for mothers to build relationships and support each other while cultivating their strengths as mothers and women. The Cafe Mom approach is a three-stage model including: self-nurturing and self-esteem building, parenting skills, and empowering the mothers to use their newly developed skills to help themselves and others.
