Setting Parental Controls on an Apple Computer


STEP 1:

What operating system are you using? 

If you purchased your Apple computer sometime in the last few years, you are likely running Macintosh OS X Tiger (10.4) or Leopard (10.5) operating system. If that is the case, see below for instructions on how to set parental controls for those computer systems. Not sure which operating system you have? Follow the instructions below to find out what operating system your computer is running.


STEP 2:

How to find out what operating system your computer is running? 

                      (2A) Click on the Apple logo on top left corner 

(2B) and click on About this Mac




(2C) A window will pop up telling you which version you are running




Tip: 10.5 means you are running Leopard. If it says 10.4, you are running Tiger.


STEP 3:

Ok - now that you know which version of Mac OS X you are using, click on the links below to find out how to set parental controls on your machine.
