Gearing Up For Summer With Aleinu

During The Aleinu Counselor’s Boot Camp, a one day intensive program of training workshops, camp counselors and directors across the Los Angeles area were able to participate in discussions and activities geared to inform about safety during summer camp sessions.

Five workshops featured: 1. Creating a Positive Camp Atmosphere, 2. Bully Prevention, 3. Handling Difficult Campers, 4. Conflict Resolution, 5. Guidelines for Counselor-Camper Contact.

Participants were able to interactively learn and discuss how to make the camp experience a success for all involved in the process. In completion, each counselor signed a written agreement to follow the carefully constructed Guidelines for Counselor-Camper Contact and parents can find at least 250 of these directors and counselors in summer camps this year.
