As part of the graduation requirements at Yeshiva University of Los Angeles Girls’ School, Jina Davidovich is required to volunteer an hour of community service a week. When her school psychologist informed her of an opportunity to help at the Aleinu Safety Kid Hike-A-Thon, Davidovich was happy to help a worthy cause. The Hike-A-Thon took place on June 1st at Kenneth Hahn Park, where families and friends of the community gathered to raise money for Safety Kid, a program dedicated to the education of Orthodox Jewish children on personal safety issues.

The Safety Kid program demonstrated to children, parents, and teachers an informed and connected front against safety concerns in the community. The event was filled with exciting activities, great bbq, and hikes for everyone. Davidovich and other enthusiastic helpers felt their time well spent at Kenneth Hahn, as both participants and volunteers enjoyed the sun and the fun at the Safety Kid Hike-a-Thon.
