Guys and Dolls Aleinu Tribute Night

December 01, 2007

All proceeds from the Dec. 1st, 2007 Guys & Dolls show performed by the Jewish Women’s Repertory Company benefited Aleinu Family Resource Center’s shelter program for battered Jewish women and their children. The busiest night of the show hosted over 300 women only audience members, and showcased a tremendously talented cast.

Aleinu’s Director of Marketing and Development, Juliya Golant, introduced the evening, quoting Margy’s commitment: “Aleinu answers a need in the community no other organization does. My personal passion is in protecting battered women, and victims of abuse. Aleinu does that and so much more.” The 2007 production of Guys and Dolls raised over $22,000. Although most funds went to cover show and production costs for this and next year, the Jewish Women’s Repertory Company made a generous donation to Aleinu Family Resource Center of over $6,000.

We look forward to next year’s production, and strengthening our partnership with the Jewish Women’s Repertory Company. Join us in 2008 for the Pirates of Penzance!
