Aleinu > Events

As the central resource for Keeping Our Children Safe, Aleinu annually invites the Jewish community camps to send representatives to participate in a formal Boot Camp Training for Camp Directors and Counselors. The workshop helps promote a Safe Camp environment by educating the leaders and discussing individualized solutions for situations that arise. 

Subjects covered at the 2008 annual training included:

• Making your camp a technology free zone
• Building relationships and managing counselors
• Review of the Aleinu Counselor-Camper Contact Guidelines
• Anti-Bullying policies

Aleinu was honored to host Mrs. Marah Lyvers from the American Camp Association, as our guest speaker and camp expert.
