Sam and Laura came to Aleinu soon after their first wedding anniversary. After a year of marriage, they still had not consummated their relationship. When working with the therapist exploring the issues, Sam cried out, as tears streamed down his face, “I could never do THAT to the woman I love”. The therapist uncovered a horrifying tale of sexual abuse that Sam had experienced in high school. A female teacher, under the guise of helping him with his schoolwork, molested him severely on a daily basis. Working intensively with the therapist, Sam was able to heal his wounds and attain the skills to build a trusting, intimate relationship with his wife.

Sam was able to overcome that which was inflicted upon him and create the life he and his wife always dreamed of.
