Mandated Assistance Program
Aleinu provides Orthodox Jewish high schools in the Los Angeles area with supportive programming concerning issues of substance use that includes education, prevention, and intervention services. At the invitation of the school, Aleinu will provide interactive and educational programs to students exploring implications of substance use.
A goal of these programs will be to encourage and stimulate dialogue between students and school-based clinicians about substance use and other high risk behaviors and to make students aware that there is a counselor they can consult when struggling with these issues. Aleinu also offers education and prevention programming for parents. If a potential substance abuse concern is identified within the school, the Mandated Assistance Program (MAP) will be available to provide consultation and intervention services. All students referred will receive a comprehensive assessment, a treatment plan will be developed, and follow-up for the treatment plan will be monitored by the Aleinu staff. Compliance with these recommendations will allow the student to continue attendance at the school.
